We empower young artists by building their confidence and nurturing holistic creative skills. In our studio, we follow the 8 Habits of Mind from Studio Thinking by Lois Hetland, Ed.D., which guide us in developing both artistic ability and personal growth. Students strengthen their skills through regular practice and learn to care for their materials, tools, and creative spaces. They create artwork that expresses personal ideas and emotions, using a variety of media and techniques. Through exposure to art history and contemporary practices, they gain a deeper understanding of the roles of artists, galleries, and museums. We encourage mindful observation of the world using all five senses and promote reflection through discussion and writing. Our artists are supported in taking creative risks, embracing challenges, and discovering new ways of working. Above all, they learn to stay focused and committed, even when the process is difficult, building resilience through art.
